Kiwis are also known as Chinese gooseberries and are probably the best-known subtropical plant or fruit. The green to brown skin is hairy and the fruit has an oval, barrel-like shape. Kiwis originally come from Southeast Asia. The Hayward variety has been cultivated in New Zealand since around 1930. The fruit is very large.
Its skin is green-brown and densely covered with short hairs.
The fruit flesh is very juicy with a good taste and a good flavour.
